RJ Raven Ltd is the UK’s oldest independent Shell forecourt operator. Their busy site at Abridge is operated by Darka and Goran Raven and the family have been there since 1929. They have invested heavily on a state of the art refit bringing it into the 21st century with a brand new Budgens Convenience Store serving the local community and new equipment for the forecourt.
After the fuel the highest value category for sales each week is their cigarettes and tobacco and this has been future proofed with the use of a Navarra Smart Tobacco Gantry linked to their TLM EPOS and tills.
The 1.2m wide RDH1200P capacity and range volume matched the tobacco sales profile of the store. This system was installed and is controlled by the latest TLM’s evoPOS.
Goran also opted for a HD media screen built into the door on the Smart Gantry to ensure his cigarette signage is clear and also be able to run store promotions and local notices seen by everyone who pays for fuel and goods at the till.
Serving cigarettes and tobacco is effortless with no need to search for plain packaged brands as the smart gantry is controlled by the TLM till main screen, selection is instant, stock control is easy and space is gained on the backline.
